Benedict considered inclusivity to be Catholic (universal). Admittedly the woke culture uses inclusivity in an equivocal way, the Church teaches that all are invited to participate in the salvation and relationship that come from Christ. Such inclusivity looks at persons as to be included in a universal way, in Christ’s works. Not being inclusive of false doctrine but of persons in right doctrine and more so than doctrine, in grace.
As I was reminded in a homily on Monday, Pope Francis didn't change church teaching. Rather, he reminded us that we must live Church teaching out in our daily lives. Sometimes, that means getting out of our comfort zone to embrace those that our instinct tells us we'd rather not. Thanks for the continued insight, Marcus.
